Super Moon Lunar Eclipse

We spent the evening watching the "blood moon super moon lunar eclipse" tonight.  We were hoping to watch it from our yard but our beautiful trees were in the way so we packed up the blankets and chairs and headed over to the local elementary school for an unfettered view of the event.  It was worth braving the cold to spend some quality time together snuggling in the blankets and watching this rare treat.   Lindsey was the photographer and got some decent shots of the phases of the moon. The photos from my iphone were a joke.  Someday I will have a decent camera and will learn to use it.
I was so excited that it was early enough in the evening that I was actually awake enough to enjoy it.  :)

Ready for the moon which never appeared over the trees

Ready to go home and thaw our noses and toeses
